Alissa Brown

Alissa is a PhD candidate in the Department of Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on interactions between trees and their environment. She's interested in how multiple related species using the same types of resources (water, light, nutrients) can coexist in forest patches. Alissa earned her Master's degree in Ecology at San Diego State University, studying small mammal behavior in the charismatic shrublands of southern California.
